Our Technology

Netkrom's Technology is specialized in providing carrier class, robustness and high efficiency products. Hand in hand with the latest transmission and access wireless systems under the 802.11Wi-Fi and 802.16 WiMAX standards, Netkrom's solutions and products portfolio is the best choice for wireless networks deployment.

Multiple Input and Multiple Output (MIMO) Antennas

MIMO is an advanced technique used in smart antennas that consist of adding multiple antennas at both the transmitter and receiver to increase coverage and diversity. Having multiple antennas in each terminal can significantly improve spectral efficiency, which is very important in order to increase bandwidth and data rates. Netkrom offers MIMO technology in its equipments that can transmit up to 300 Mbps (MIMO 2x2). MIMO advantages are described as follows:

  • Resistivity to fading
  • Increase data rate
  • Increase capacity
  • Increase bandwidth
  • Reduce CAPEX and OPEX

Netkrom Metro Mesh

Metro Mesh is a wireless network topology that is gaining popularity in urban and suburban areas.
Laptops, PDAs, IP phones and other wireless devices communicate with each other using standard Wi-Fi (802.11a and g) protocols; the "Mesh" is a Layer-3 protocol that allows the network to do dynamic automatically shifting on users between radio bands in a common network as required by the scenario.

NETKROM's Mesh Network Specialists implement seamless, metropolitan-scale mesh networks in
order to bring innovative wireless services such as:

  • Mobile Internet access
  • Residential and small business broadband Internet access
  • Video surveillance
  • Wireless meter reading
  • Wi-Fi phone access (smartphones)

Transmission Power Control (TPC)

Our products feature Transmission Power Control (802.11h) which is a mechanism to automatically increase/reduce output power in order to prevent unwanted interference and eliminate noise. Thanks to the advanced TPC algorithms, when there is too much interference using high output power, TPC algorithm will reduce power by 1dB per step. If there is a sudden change in coverage that can be explained as an unplanned outage, TPC algorithm will increase the output power.

Advanced Encryption Methods

Security in wireless networks is an issue of great concern, and most customers know they are exposed against intruders that can cause data infiltrations, decrease of the traffic data speed and others. Netkrom solves these issues using advanced encryption systems such as 128 bit WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA-EAP and WPA2 with AES encryption technique and thus provide strong security on the wireless network.

Advanced Modulation Techniques: OFDM

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing consists of dividing a high speed information signal in multiple subcarriers and transmits them in parallel using orthogonal subcarriers frequencies. OFMD uses BPSK, QPSK and n-QAM for modulation, and it will depend on the data rate used. Advantages of OFDM are:

  • Interference Rejection, since not all signals are affected by noise.
  • High spectral efficiency due to the subcarriers orthogonality.
  • Robustness against multipath and fading.
